What data we collect
Contact form: when you submit the form, we receive the details you provide (name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message) to respond to your request. Data is stored in our secure database and may be forwarded to our team by email. Job application form: when you apply, we process your contact details, motivation and any CV (PDF) you upload. Language preference: we store your chosen language (NL/EN) in a cookie (estooling-locale) so the site can be shown in that language on your next visit. Cookie preference: when you accept our cookie banner, we store that choice locally in your browser (estooling-cookie-consent). Analytics (optional): when enabled, we use Umami for aggregated, privacy-friendly visit statistics without advertising or cross-site tracking.
Purpose and legal basis
Contact and application data are used to handle your request and communicate with you (performance of pre-contractual steps / your consent). Language and cookie preferences are used to operate the website correctly (legitimate interest). Analytics are used to improve our website (legitimate interest), where Umami is enabled.
Retention
We keep contact and application data for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and thereafter according to our internal retention periods or legal obligations. Uploaded CVs are kept for as long as relevant to the recruitment process. Language and cookie preferences remain until you clear cookies or site data or change your choice.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability where applicable under the GDPR. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Belgium: the Data Protection Authority).
